Question:  What is Raterbee.com?

Answer:  Raterbee.com is an online community for parents, by parents. It is a place to exchange information about the classes and activities in which parents enroll their kids. Parents leave reviews and comments about classes/activities for other parents - it is that simple. Additionally, the Parent Buzz! is the Raterbee.com community forum for exchanging additional class information, parenting tips, recipies, whatever!

Question:  Why did you start Raterbee.com?

Answer:   When we moved to a new city with our preschool-aged child, we had a hard time figuring out which were the best activities to sign up for. So we tried lots of classes... some were great, some a waste of time and money. We thought it would be great if there was a clearinghouse for information about kids' activities - something where you not only found out about the class itself, but got real-life feedback from the parents who were there. Raterbee.com is our answer!

Question:  Is there a fee to be a Rater?

Answer:  No! Raterbee.com is absolutely free!

Question:  How does Raterbee.com work?

Answer:  Parents like you enter information about the classes your kids take. You provide basic information about the class itself; type of class, location, address, city, etc. Then we ask you to evaluate the class across various categories (value, facilities, instructor, etc.) If it's a honey of a class - give it an A. If you got stung - give it an F. Or maybe you thought it was somewhere in between.

Finally, we ask you to enter comments. This is where you can get specific - what did you really like? What advice would you give to other parents? (e.g. "They keep the kids moving. Be sure your little one has comfy shoes!" or "The room is a bit chilly, bring a sweater.") We simply ask that you be fair, courteous, and honest.

You are free to search for classes already in our database, or add one of your own. Once added, others will be able to add their reviews too!

In addition to the ratings, be sure to check out The Parent Buzz!, Raterbee.com's community forum. Here you can post and reply to questions from other parents, exchange information or parenting tips - whatever. It is up to you!

Answer:   If you are interested in having Raterbee in your home town, let us know! Fill out Raterbee.com's feedback form and ask us to swarm to your city!

Answer:   We ask you to enroll to help ensure the quality of Raterbee.com. By requiring you to register and login, we are able to better monitor the ratings and other information added to this site. Question:  What will you do with the information you collect about me?

Answer:  We only use the information we collect during registration to better understand our Raters, and occasionally, to contact you (to inform you about changes in our Terms of Service, for example.) We will never sell, rent, lease, or otherwise release our list of Raters to anyone outside of Raterbee.com - PERIOD. We wouldn't like it, and we are sure you wouldn't either. Question:  Can a company or organization pay to be rated?

Answer:  No. Ratings only come from our Raters.
